Sometimes showing up is where rebuilding begins.
A soccer game. A music recital. A tournament. A practice. A camp.
These moments can give formerly incarcerated parents a reason to be present in their children's lives while creating positive routines and connections outside the home.
For children, activities can provide confidence, friendships, mentorship, physical activity and belonging. For parents, they can create opportunities to participate in family-centered spaces and build supportive community relationships.
